On March 22nd we'll be welcoming back the inimitable Ella Turk-Richards to our café. Ella's last gig with us was truly spectacular, so we anticipate this one being a quick sell-out.
Ella & The Rogue Tones is an exciting quartet comprising Ella Turk-Richards on lead vocals and guitar, Pete Truin on Saxophone, James Macphail on Double Bass and Treve Nicol on percussion and voice. Expect to be taken on a journey of original songs, infused with a cappella pieces, sumptuous improvisation and a range of style flavours from latin, jazz, soul and nu-folk, weaving them into a rich musical tapestry all coming to a crescendo of a soulful performance that is sure to make your hair stand on end.
We couldn't be happier with the way these music events are going. It's pretty magical having a room full of our local community, dimly lit by flickering candles on tables, with mesmerising music.
